HOW TO USE YOUR SPANISH CLASS TEXTBOOK
Picture
Picture

The point is, when it comes to Spanish, vocabulary is essential. For communication, you need to be understood and even if you conjugate a verb wrong, the Spanish world may still get to understand what you're trying to say. But you'll still learn grammar in this class. The textbook to the right can teach you up to 20,000 words.  We already learned 2,300 words in the first two days! You are on your way to becoming a master hispanophile or iberophile. (The lessons in class don't follow the same order of this textbook.)

This textbook concentrates on the -endings of words in English as compared to their Spanish counterpart.
Lesson 1: -tion changes to -ción in Spanish (use 'la' for 'the')= 2,000 words
Lesson 2: -sion does NOT change just add -sión  (use 'la' for 'the')= 300 words
Lesson 3: -al words do not change in ending=tons
Lesson 4: 2+ syllable words that end with -ity change to  -idad = 400 words
